Northeast Region Sales Representative (FILLED)

Role Overview

The Northeast Region Sales Representative is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals within the assigned region by creating opportunities with existing customers as well as prospecting and securing new customer accounts. Expected to provide exceptional product knowledge and service ensuring customer satisfaction in all areas of the business. This position reports to the Director of Sales – Shelter. 


  • Relevant "industry/market" work experience
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
  • Formal sales and negotiation training is highly preferred
  • First Responder (ie. Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement, EMS) or Military experience highly
  • preferred
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of available time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity
  • Willing to learn and take on more responsibility
  • Must be physically capable in demonstrating our shelters and components
  • Must have valid driver’s license 


  • Develop territory market intelligence and design target strategy to address new markets
  • Enhance market exposure and develop new business opportunities with current and potential clients
  • Compile lists of prospective customers based on information from trade shows, direct mail response, business directories, web sites and other research
  • Diligently maintain company CRM and pipeline
  • Evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate tactics
  • Liaise with company Production Managers, Team Leaders and Shipping Managers to
  • ensure fulfillment of customer orders
  • Build and sustain relationships with customers focusing on long-term relationships.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction following project execution in a timely and
  • professional manner
  • Emphasize salable features, quote pricing and credit terms, and prepare sales
  • orders
  • Provide product training and service training
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's
  • production and delivery schedules
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of company products
  • Travel to and attend industry trade shows
