Is your team ready for the next outbreak?
In recent news, the media has reported a rise in outbreaks of infectious viruses across the globe. Western Shelter remains on standby to help assist in containing these contaminated areas as well as providing shelters to regions wanting to take preventative measures, for any future outbreaks, who could also be affected by these epidemics.
For years, our medical customers have trusted us to create solutions that support their isolation efforts. Our customers determine the capacity and patient flow, and we support in creating the facility to cover their needs. Our infectious disease shelters have been used to respond to everything from seasonal flu outbreak to large scale Ebola quarantine.
Our Mobility Sales Engineer, Joe Thomas, says it’s never too early to start taking precautions against disease outbreak.
“The time to plan your response to an outbreak like the one we’re seeing in China is right now,” he said. “Whether it’s purchasing a containerized quarantine pod for long term response or a system composed of our legacy shelters, it’s a good reminder to take the steps to setting up response capabilities today.”
Western Shelter offers a range of solutions to support our customers isolation efforts.
Containerized/Trailerized Quarantine Pods
Containerized and trailerized quarantine pods are best suited for long term response scenarios in austere environments. These systems have high electrical and environmental efficiency, and offer a high level of security. No building foundation is required for these types of quarantine pods, making them ideal for rugged terrain. Additionally, containerized/trailerized quarantine pods are modular, stackable (when not in use), and have the ability to have hard mounted medical and A/V equipment.
Soft Deployable Quarantine Pods
Soft deployable quarantine pods are great for quick response and offer a compact storage footprint. They also are easily upgradable should the needs of your response quickly change. All of our shelters are designed to work seamlessly together, making soft deployable kits a great starting point for a quarantine system. Image shown is a simple 3 patient facility, but ultimately you determine how much patient capacity you need and we’ll configure it out for you. Replacement parts and pieces are easily sourced, should they be needed.
“No matter the size of your operation, our team can custom deliver a solution that meets your needs,” Thomas added.
